Our Company

Established in 2012, Performance Energy started out as a utility installation contractor installing services and HDPE lines in the small communities in Colorado and performing maintenance work in the DJ Basin for a multitude of customers.  As Performance grew through 2015, Performance branched out into the Southern region of New Mexico and began laying steel pipelines as well as HDPE pipelines for a few smaller growing companies while continuing to gain a presence in the DJ Basin of Colorado executing small pipeline projects as well as taking on facility project work.  In 2016, as the market turned “South”, Performance Energy continued to grow in revenue and started adding key personnel in preparation for the next turn in the market. 2017 passed with minor growth and the addition of more key personnel and in 2018 the team was able to grow the company 4 times over the previous year and became a player in every region entered.  In 2018, the company successfully installed it first cryogenic processing facility with a refrigeration plant on the front of the plant and executed the construction of over 80 pump stations and 4 grass roots compressor stations along with installation in excess of 100 miles of pipeline growing the company to over 500 employees in 7 years.

Our Team

MATT GOODRICH

President and CEO

Mr. Goodrich comes to the company with 25 plus years in the industry, a degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University, 6 years as a consulting engineer, 18 years in executive management in oil and gas construction, and 2 years as the Engineering and Construction Manager at a Denver, CO based midstream oil and gas company.  During his tenure in the industry, Mr. Goodrich has been part of executive management teams responsible for $4.5 million in annual revenue and 30 employees to $300 million in annual revenue with 3,000 plus employees.

JOSEPH HETTINGER

CFO

Mr. Hettinger has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a degree in Business Administration, dual emphasis in accounting and finance from the University of Montana. During his tenure in the industry, Mr. Hettinger has been a part of executive management teams that acquired multi-million construction companies and oil and gas production assets as well as managed construction projects worth nearly $100M dollars.

GILBERT EAVES

Vice President of Operations 

Mr. Eaves has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He started out working in the field as a welder, then worked his way to project superintendent. Mr. Eaves has managed projects in refineries, CO2 process facilities, power houses, compressor stations, transmission pipelines, gas plants, gathering systems and roustabout work. He has spent the last 20 years in executive management roles helping strategically grow the companies he has worked for.  During his tenure with one of these organizations, Mr. Eaves was responsible for starting up 7 area offices, including hiring office personnel, project managers, area supervision and manpower as well as responsible for business development and customer relations.

RON BAYLESS

Vice President of Environment, Health and Safety 

Mr. Bayless is a Health, Safety, and Environmental Professional holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety from Oakland University with broad ranging experience in high hazard general industry and construction. He has planned, managed and actively participated in many tasks which were conducted in flammable hydrocarbon, or concentration Hydrogen Sulfide environments without incident. He has assisted various companies in achieving a sustained 50% reduction in OSHA recordable injury rate to a low of zero in the oil and gas sector. Ron has actively managed the safety aspect of many construction projects up to a total value of $30MM. Importantly, he has been a leader who enjoyed success and opportunity due to the performance of great teams.

SKYLAR ROBERTS

Manager of Marketing and Business Development

Ms. Roberts obtained her degree in Marketing from Metropolitan State University of Denver.  In her six short years in the industry, Ms. Roberts’ unbridled energy with a commitment to succeed keeps Ms. Roberts at the top of her game.  Ms. Roberts dedication to the industry allows her to build strong business relationships with industry stalwarts who praise her openness, honesty and follow up from initial discussions of potential projects to ensuring completion to the client’s satisfaction.

LYNN ANDERSON

Director of Accounting

Ms. Anderson brings 15 plus years of Finance and Accounting leadership to Performance Energy.  Ms. Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Science with an Emphasis on Mathematics and Computer Science and an executive master’s degree in Business Administration.  Ms. Anderson’s unique background in both accounting and computer science has allowed her to successfully manage the accounting side of the business as well as leverage her skills in both process and software integration building efficiency to all aspects of the organization.

JOHNNY TOMLIN

West Texas District Manager

Mr. Tomlin brings to Performance Energy over 28 years of experience in the oil and gas industry coming up through the ranks as a pipefitter and rig welder to holding multiple supervisory positions up to and including VP of an NDE and PWHT company as well as owning a General Contracting business. Through his tenure in the industry, Mr. Tomlin has obtained his CWI certification and has extensive knowledge in ASME, API, and AWS welding codes.  Mr. Tomlin’s ability to manage both people and projects simultaneously leveraging his supervisory skills as well as construction knowledge in oil, gas, power, mining, cross country pipeline make him an integral member of the Performance Energy Team. 

CHRIS WAMBEKE

Wyoming/North Dakota District Manager

Mr. Wambeke holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management bringing 10 plus years of experience in civil, commercial, oil and gas construction.  Mr. Wambeke has worked as both an owner’s representative coordinating between drilling, hydraulic fracking, and facility construction teams, as well as serving management roles within construction industry leaders.  Mr. Wambeke’s diverse background, education, and experience make him a vital member of the Performance Team.
